Giovanni Battista, born in San Nicandro, Italy
in 1942 got his first start in the clothing industry at the age of 15 years
old as apprentice tailor in Italy. Learning the trade from the Italian masters
of haute couture, he learned the art of making a high quality men’s
suit in his teen years and has made the garment trade his life long obsession.
In his the early 1960’s Mr. Battista moved to Montreal, Canada where
by the age of 20 years old he was production manager of a major producer
of men’s suits overseeing a factory of over 500 employees.
While in his 30’s MR. Battista started his own production operation
of mid- to high end men’s suits with 30 employees which quickly
escalated to over 250 employees. Doing contract work for retailers such
as Ralph Lauren, Perry Ellis, Hugo Boss, Mr. Battista was able to produce
a high quality product at a competitive price in his Montreal Canada factory.
Since the late 1990’s Mr. Battista has been working as a high end
consultant for production factories in such countries as India, China,
Bulgaria, Italy, Hong Kong and Eastern Europe. Specializing in factory
production setup, adjustments, upgrades and personnel training, Mr. Battista
can evaluate, troubleshoot and adjust factory production and quality control
to maximize quality and efficiency in garment production.
